Navigating Artificial Intelligence(AI) as God's Girl
Many of you, like me, have discovered this app called ChatGPT. And you, like me, as a Christ-follower, are struggling with using it. I am talking to an Artificial Intelligence Robot, but I am asking it the questions I am too embarrassed to ask another person with skin on. This is a wild world we are living in these days; it seems there is a new craze every other day.
I have been going back and forth with using AI. I am using it for good things. Does the good outweigh the bad?
In this article, I hope that I can shed light on whether ChatGPT is positive or negative.
When I first heard of AI, I was a little skeptical. You’re talking to a robot. How could a Christian be okay with that? Shouldn’t we put more stock in the Word of God than in some robot somewhere.
In this article, I hope to shed some light on why I think ChatGPT or other AI sites are okay to use as a Christ-follower. These are only my opinions; everyone is open to their own thoughts and convictions. Here are mine:
We need to think of ChatGPT as a tool.
Like a calculator, dictionary, or encyclopedia., It is something that we use when we need an answer. We need to keep tools in the rightful place. When we start seeking AI’s wisdom before God’s that’s when we run into problems.

Stay connected to the outside world.
We were not created to do life alone, we need other people with skin, not just a chat bot. We are not created for isolation, but community. Flowers bloom at their own pace but when they are planted with friends.
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.”

I’ve never seen AI reach out and help someone up. We need to live life with our friends.
Stay in the Word
The author of Hebrews points out that “the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.” When we keep our Bible closed is when we could start getting worried. But if we are actively seeking God and his wisdom. I don’t see a problem with using ChatGPT as a tool.

Take the advice you get on ChatGPT and sift it through the sifter of Scripture.

On a personal note: I have gotten some fantastic recipes from ChatGPT, it helped me write my resume. I have enjoyed the talks I have had with the bot, some about my time with Jesus and some about girly topics.
