Letter From the Editor + Our Top 10 Articles of 2020
Happy New Year, sisters!
We hope you had a restful and blessed Christmas holiday. Recently, the world gladly ushered 2020 out and entered 2021 hopeful that in the coming year things will be different and that we’ll all go back to “normal.”
But although our calendars changed years, for most people, life today looks a lot like what it did in December 2020: COVID-19 and political unrest still capture most of the headlines, many people are still working remotely or living under lockdown orders, travel is restricted to most parts of the world, and for some, worshiping with other believers is still only available via live stream. And no one can quite tell us when all this will end.
Yet, as Christians, we cling to this hope: our God is still on the throne and none of this is a surprise to Him or too much for Him. This is the God we call “Father,”; the One who promised us that this too shall pass (Rev. 21:1), because this is not our home and we’re bound for eternity (John 5:24).
So, we have no fear of a pandemic or political unrest; nor we do not fall into despair or lose hope when we look to the coming year. Instead, we turn our eyes to Jesus, because that is where our peace and joy is found.
With that in mind, we want to be more intentional with our content at Tirzah in the coming year - to go deeper into the Word with you and to serve you well. Many of you have been with us for years and as your life seasons change, we want to grow with you and encourage you in Christ where you are today and in the current life seasons.
We’re still praying through exactly how to do this, so please be patient with us for a few more weeks as we continue our break from posting new content in order to figure out the best way to steward and grow this community in 2021. We should be back with new articles later in January.
