Advancing the Kingdom - Advancing Native Missions

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” - Mark 16:15

This month on Tirzah in the Word, we have been focusing on evangelism. Partnering with Advancing Native Missions (ANM) to end the month of April seemed perfect!  What is ANM?

“Since 1992 ANM has helped individual Christians and local churches get involved in global missions in ways that make sense for them.  Because we believe there’s a place for everyone in God’s global mission, even if you can’t travel to distant countries and remote tribes.  Learn more: https://advancing native missions.com”

I, Alycia, am so passionate about this mission because I’ve worked with non-profits, churches, and missions teams in multiple countries - learning and growing from these experiences.  Through the years, I have become more and more passionate about mobilizing people in their own communities to reach people with the Gospel. I’ve learned about a program called Live Dead that some friends are a part of that allows missionaries to reach those who have NEVER HEARD the Gospel.  If you’re reading this, you have heard the Gospel and have access.  There are places in the world where this is not possible.

Groups like ANM help people receive and access the Bible - in their NATIVE language.  Right now, we are partnering to promote them giving Children’s Storybook Bibles to China.  These Bibles could end up in the hands of children who have NEVER been exposed to Jesus.  How cool is that?  Some fun facts about this Bible are:

  • The stories are faithfully adapted and beautifully illustrated by Chinese Christians.

  • Chinese pastors and house church leaders will deliver the Bible’s, giving them a great opportunity to share the Gospel in person and start relationships with families.

  • Chinese church leaders say that every Bible will reach at least seven people the child who receives it, their parents, and their grandparents.

This is a practical way for you to reach the unreached by giving a Bible for $4.00!  If this article sparks your curiosity or makes you want to learn more about the lack of access to the Gospel in areas of the world, I encourage you to do more research on Live Dead or ANM.  When you have the time for yourself, look up the statistics that showcase how many people in Asian countries have never heard the Gospel.  Evangelism comes in all forms, shapes, and sizes!
