The Firing Squad: A Movie Review

We haven’t done any entertainment suggestions or reviews, so I thought we were a little overdue. There is a new movie called “The Firing Squad” coming out in theaters on August 2nd, 2024. We had the privilege or receiving a preview before it comes out. I had a couple of thoughts walking out of this.

First, this is a really cool story! Watching criminals change and find their heart for God was amazing. I enjoyed hearing this was a true story and that so many men transformed their lives for Christ. This made me excited to watch it.

Second, I was excited to watch it - but the plot was hard to follow. Once you got towards the end of the movie, you started to understand the story. The writers scripted it in such a way that you were receiving multiple bits of information without a lot of clarity. By the end, I found the story to be a good one.

Overall, the Firing Squad is a great movie to watch with your non-Christian friends. IF you want to lead your friends to Christ, it’s a cool story to show them the power of Jesus. IF you want to watch a movie with your fellow Christian friends, the plot is a little all over the place and the acting could be better.
