Remembering the Holy Wars

I was recently asked if I would like to receive, not one, but two - necklaces from Temple Mount Soil. My view on reviewing products is that I won’t review it - unless it’s something I can truly be passionate about. For me, I wasn’t particularly drawn in by a necklace with soil that was in a little case hanging around my neck (just being honest). After reading their story, I became drawn in by the mission and significance of this story.

Temple Mount Soil is a project that exists in the midst of Holy wars. In the Old Testament, you read about one of the most beautiful buildings to ever have existed - King Solomon’s Temple. This is the temple that King David dreamed of building, but his son, Solomon, went on to complete this project. As we move later into history, we read of Jesus residing at temples. It is believed that Jesus walked the earth in this very sacred location.

Unfortunately, as we watch modern history unfold in the Middle East, we see the wars continue around this property. There is significance in other religions on this ground. In addition to all of the conflicts currently happening, there have been years of war over this very soil. A place that holds sacred ground for so many people. When I read and understood the significance of this soil and property, I wanted to hold a piece of it and be a part of the project.

I can’t say that I will wear this necklace every day - but I do have it hanging in a place of prominence in my room. For me, in this season, it’s a reminder to pray for both Israel and Iran. A reminder to pray for God’s sacred people, the Jews, who have walked on the very soil I now hold. It’s also a reminder that God is not done with these people and we need to preserve our Christian faith. So, you should learn more about the Temple Mount Soil Project yourself.
