Recommendation on Racial Reconciliation: As I A.M. Podcast

As Yelena and I started researching racial reconciliation and how to best address the topics, we went to our friends to find resources. It just so happened that my neighbors across the street had a podcast. Their podcast addresses racial issues in light of Christ and their own personal experiences. The following is an excerpt from Annerelis, Audrey, and Aliya, as well as a link to two relevant podcast episodes:

“The As I A.M. entourage is, like many others around the nation, devastated by the tragic death and loss of George Floyd. We are mourning the loss of this young man and others like Bronna Taylor, Sean Reed, Ahmaud Arbery, and Joel Acevedo. We encourage everyone to sympathize with those who have been systematically oppressed for years, and let that sympathy and compassion guide you to continue to educate yourself as well as those around you.

Most importantly, we would like to remind everyone to seek God’s face during these trying times. It is only Him who can change the condition of the heart.”

Episode 2: Life in Between

In this episode, the hosts of As I A.M. recalls their experience growing up biracial and highlight how the world can become a more racially sensitive place.

Episode 5: We Run With Maud

In this episode, the hosts discuss their thoughts on the Ahmaud Arbery case, discuss the church’s lack of involvement in social justice and provide action steps to continue our fight for justice. For further action steps, visit RunWithMaud.com
