To Be Found and Pursued

To have found God and still to pursue Him is the soul’s paradox of love. ― A.W. Tozer

To be pursued even after you’ve been found. Isn’t that oddly exactly what your heart wants? Not to be found once, but daily by the ones you love? To have someone who never tires of seeking you?

To each morning have someone remember you? Find out what’s on your mind, on your heart? What dream was born in you during your time of sleeping?

To find out that you like your coffee black. You like light roasts from South America. That you like a cup after you’ve brushed your teeth, but before your devotions.

Does God not want to be found again and again every day too?

In the same way, don’t the people around you? Persistent and passionate love is like this at its core.

The Lord finds you again each morning with eagerness the moment you open your eyes after singing over you all night.

He seeks you when you face your moments of turmoil. Over-thinking. Carelessness. Fear. Wrestling with His word, His faithfulness. He wants to know what excites you and what your heart lights up for. Each day, God is constantly seeking you.

He wants to know you. Is that unbelievable to you?

Unbelievable that He aches to be known by you too? That every day He draws nearer and leans in and marvels at you? He hopes you do the same?

Even though it seems unbelievable, it is true. God's love for us is exactly the passionate, pursuing love that we all desire. And, he also desires that passionate, pursing love from us.

I think it’s remarkable and like coming home. It’s the thing God is impressing on me about love. Love is a multi-faceted thing that I’m always discovering and re-discovering. Because God is love after all – and I’m ever seeking and finding and seeking Him. God is the one who has this love that we are constantly seeking.

Peace and passionate, intimate love go with you friends.

From the Word:

The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. - Zephaniah 3:17

I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. - Proverbs 8:17
