February Letter From The Editor

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” - Ecclesiastes 3:1 - 8

February - the month of love.  It’s a time where all of us ladies contemplate the status of our romantic relationships.  Maybe you find yourself in a season of singleness that’s never ending, a happy marriage, a marriage that’s struggling, you’re on the brink of divorce, or newly widowed.  Wherever this season finds you, it is a comfort to know that Christ will always be our perfect love.  As we look to Him to complete our story, we can trust that when the foundation of our relationships are in HIM - He will work all things out.

As I contemplated the topic of love, I was reminded of how closely love & war are tied together.  Think of the times throughout the history of the nations and why wars were started.  It was always a love of something or someone.  Two sides who could not come to an agreement on what they loved or were unwilling to sacrifice what they loved - whether an opinion, land, money, or person.

On February 18, we started a 10 day prayer journey here at Tirzah and that has become a main pillar of this time of prayer. It is a prayer that we are all, as Christians, able to lay aside our love of opinions, complacency,  or apathy.  That we, as women, would be willing to pray that our love for Christ would allow us to set aside our love of smaller things to build God’s Kingdom.  If you have a gift that you aren’t using, that you would be able to love God’s people and utilize that gift.  Where there is disagreement among you & some sisters in Christ, that you would be  willing to set aside those squabbles for the love you both share for Christ.  This is a prayer for us all - including me.

For this week only, February 21st - 25th we have opened enrollment for our 2022 Tirzah in the Word.  You can join us on a more personal, face - to - face (via Zoom) Bible study twice a month to learn to take your love for Christ and go to war for His Kingdom.  This has been a labor of love from myself and one of our Board Members, Chanel.  As we contemplate how to love others more, I pray that you would consider joining us on this journey through discipleship.  Yes, we do require either a monthly fee or a one - time fee for the year.  Understand though, that we ourselves have poured out the same amounts or more just to get to know each of you more & build our love for God’s Kingdom!

Until Next Month,
