Royalty Never Fades
Have you ever wondered how you can be deemed royalty, but still go through so much pain?
Well, that is a question that goes through each of our minds from time to time, so don't feel ashamed. Your royal status doesn't change because afflictions or trials come. God allows even the toughest and messiest trials to toughen us up and develop us. You are a daughter of the King and you must remember even Jesus Christ suffered for us so we could live in eternal freedom. We have to remember that even Jesus Christ questioned God during moments of horrible discomfort and doubt.
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine, be done. -Luke 22:42 (KJV)
His pleadings didn't make Christ weak, but showed His vulnerability and reliance on His father. No one said being a Christ follower would come without these feelings or emotions. God knew you would face that certain trial or problem you are currently in. God just wants you to trust Him even when things are unfair or don't make sense to you.
Your trials don't change the fact that you are royalty; in fact, it shows that you are royalty.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. -1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
Christ Jesus suffered when He went to the cross for us. No suffering could ever compare to what He faced. When people looked at Him they might have not seen royalty because of His visual appearance, but royalty was written all on Him. He was a king even when human eyes couldn't see it. When Jesus was raised, the glory of the Lord was upon Him and all of our guilt and shame was removed. So, nothing Christ went through was ineffective or without purpose. You have scars and wounds as well and they too hold a purpose.
You may not see it now, but you are a representation of Christ Jesus.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him. -Romans 8:17 (KJV)
Once, there was a time in my own life where it seemed as if tests after tests were coming at me like missiles. I didn't feel like the King of King's daughter during that season, but I also grew so much during the pain and conflict. I felt like God wasn’t hearing my requests, but later I realized I was wrong. I had to take a step back and lay all of my concerns at my father’s feet.
For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew so sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. -2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)
You might have no idea what to do about your situation, but God does. You can commit whatever trial you face to our father because He already has a solution. You can have rest and peace because Jesus Christ has overcome the world.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. -John 16:33 (KJV)
Royalty comes with prestige, honor, and privileges. It also comes with learning, responsibilities, and tests that require character building. You are right where God wants you to be, even if you have doubts or questions. It doesn't make you a bad person; it only makes you one who is true and authentic.
Continue to ask God your questions, but don't forget to trust Him. Take your mask off and go to God with an open heart. Start viewing yourself the way God sees you. The more you commit your situation to God, the more free you will feel.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. -John 14:12 (KJV)
The King of Kings created your life story especially for you. So, take every lesson given to you with care and be appreciative of what Jesus Christ has done on the cross, because God has chosen you to display His love, grace, and power to the world. Remember, you are royalty.
